Tottenham are interested in acquiring the services of FC Porto striker Evanilson.

The North London club are preparing themselves for a busy transfer window where they look to reinforce their attack on a priority basis. Ange Postecoglou is keen on adding a new number nine to their squad and according to a report from Jornal de Notícias via SportWitness, Tottenham could look to make a move for Evanilson in the summer.

The Brazilian striker has gone from strength to strength since making the move to Portugal back in 2020. In the ongoing season, the FC Porto striker has contributed towards 30 goals (24 goals, 6 assists) in his 41 appearances. While Porto might not have had the best of season, the 24-year-old has been firing on all cylinders.

He has been in red-hot form and his impressive performances have resulted in interest from some of the biggest clubs across Europe. Tottenham are one of the clubs linked with Evanilson as their search for a new striker continues.

Despite the departure of Harry Kane last summer and the decision to not sign a replacement, Spurs managed to have a decent season under Postecoglou. Son Heung-min and Richarlison stepped up and did a reasonably good job up top.

However, Spurs need more quality and the Australian manager wants a top-quality number nine. He feels a world-class striker will help them compete with the best teams in the county and Evanilson is one of the names on their wishlist.

But, it won’t be easy for Spurs to prise him away because of Porto’s demands for the Brazilian forward whose contract runs until the summer of 2027. The Portuguese outfit are looking to raise around €100 million from the potential departure of the 24-year-old.

It will be interesting to see if Spurs end up making a move given the asking price is quite high.
