Watch: Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton ties it up from deep going into halftime

The Indiana Pacers started Game 1 playing from way behind. So it makes sense that their All-Star would tie the game up from way behind the line.

Tyrese Haliburton shot the ball from halfway to Bunker Hill to close the second half and tie the opening game of the Eastern Conference Finals at 64-64 at the half. It was Haliburton’s third triple of the first half, and he scored Indiana’s last five points of the half.

Indiana weathered a 12-0 start from Boston to finish the first quarter down only three points. After the Celtics took a double-digit lead in the second quarter, the Pacers closed in the final five minutes, thanks in part to a crazy hustle play by Pascal Siakam.

The Pacers’ comeback was fueled by the three ball, as they shot 8-for-15 before the half, led by Haliburton and 2-for-3 shooting from both Myles Turner and Aaron Nembhard.

The Celtics were only 7-for-22, their percentage dragged down by Al Horford going 1-for-7 from deep early.

But no one was shooting them as deep as Haliburton. Deep shots, deep deficits — the Pacers are showing they can handle them all so far.
